Practice app · Acme REST API
A live REST + GraphQL API with auth, validation, pagination, rate limiting and an interactive request console.
Your starter code already declares BASE_URL — call the API relative to it.
Objective
Test the payment decline boundary (amount > 1000) with values on and around the edge.
Your task
- 1Generate the amounts 999.99, 1000 and 1000.01.
- 2POST BASE_URL + "/payments" with { "amount": <value> } for each.
- 3Assert 999.99 and 1000 → 200 { status: "approved", transactionId }; 1000.01 → 402 { status: "declined", reason: "insufficient_funds" }.
Acceptance criteria
- POST /payments returns 200 at the boundary
- POST /payments returns 402 above it
- The cases are data-driven
- At least 3 assertions pass
