A dark-themed streaming service: sign-in, a “Who's watching?” picker with a PIN-locked Kids profile, paged browse carousels with hover cards, title details with seasons, debounced search, My List, a video player with shortcuts and a Skip intro button, a trailer iframe and plan selection.
Your starter code already declares TEST_URL — never hardcode a host.
Objective
Search waits until you stop typing, shows “Searching…”, then renders results. Verify the no-results state for a nonsense term, then search for “lantern” and verify both matches, without fixed sleeps.
Your task
- 1Open TEST_URL. You are signed in as Maya on the browse page.
- 2Click the search icon (#nav-search).
- 3Type “zzqx” into #search-input, wait for #search-empty and assert it says “No results”.
- 4Clear the box and type “lantern”.
- 5Wait for #search-summary and assert it reads 2 results for "lantern".
- 6Assert exactly 2 [data-testid="search-result"] cards are shown.
Acceptance criteria
- The no-results state was verified for “zzqx”.
- The summary reads 2 results for "lantern".
- Exactly two result cards are shown.
- The test uses no fixed sleeps.
