Test URL
/lab/sdet-wire-the-suite-into-ci

Your starter code already declares TEST_URL — never hardcode a host.

Objective

Make the suite CI-ready: configuration from environment variables and headless execution when running in a pipeline.

Your task

  1. 1Read CI (set to true by GitHub Actions, GitLab CI and most runners) from the environment.
  2. 2When CI is set, start Chrome with --headless=new and a fixed window size such as 1920,1080.
  3. 3Allow the URL to be overridden by an environment variable, falling back to TEST_URL.
  4. 4Sign in with qa@target.dev / Test@123 (#username, #password, #login-button). Assert the dashboard; a failing assertion must fail the build.

Acceptance criteria

  • Environment variables drive the configuration
  • Headless mode is enabled for CI
  • The dashboard is shown
  • At least 1 assertion passes
