Objective

Create a ConnectIn account through the 3-step sign-up wizard (account, profile, interests), checking the per-step validation on the way, and verify the welcome screen summarises the new profile.

Your task

  1. 1Open TEST_URL and click “Join now” (#nav-join).
  2. 2Step 1 (Account): enter jordan.lee@example.com in #signup-email and the weak password tester in #signup-password, click Next (#signup-next) and assert #signup-password-error is shown.
  3. 3Replace the password with Tester#2026 and click Next. Assert #signup-step-label reads “Step 2 of 3”.
  4. 4Step 2 (Profile): enter Jordan in #signup-first-name and Lee in #signup-last-name, choose “Toronto, Canada” in #signup-location, type “QA Engineer | Playwright & API testing” in #signup-headline and click Next.
  5. 5Step 3 (Interests): select the role chips “QA Engineer” (#role-qa-engineer) and “SDET” (#role-sdet), turn on the “Open to work” switch (#open-to-work) and click “Create account” (#signup-submit).
  6. 6Assert the welcome screen #signup-welcome greets Jordan and that #welcome-location, #welcome-roles and #welcome-open-to-work show the values you entered.

Acceptance criteria

  • The weak password is rejected on step 1.
  • The welcome heading reads “Welcome to ConnectIn, Jordan!”.
  • The summary shows Toronto, Canada, both selected roles and “Open to work: Yes”.
  • The test makes at least two assertions.
