Automation Engineer

• Build automated tests for APIs, web applications, integrations, and end-to-end business workflows.
• Analyze legacy applications and create regression test coverage where documentation or existing tests are missing.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic tools to generate, review, and maintain test cases and automation scripts.
• Validate application upgrades, dependency changes, database integrations, and infrastructure changes.
• Test authentication and authorization changes, particularly migration from LDAP-based security to Okta and token-based authentication.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.
• Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and verify fixes.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers while remaining hands-on with complex automation scenarios.

Required Skills

• 7–10 years of QA, SDET, or Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.
• API automation and enterprise system integration testing.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing or agentic AI tools.
• Knowledge of Java or .NET applications, SQL/databases, APIs, and middleware.
• Regression testing, risk-based test strategy, defect analysis, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, LDAP, and token-based security.

Preferred Skills

• Claude Code or similar AI coding/agentic tools.
• Jira/Xray or equivalent test management tools.
• JUnit, TestNG, contract testing, and service virtualization.
• LLM evaluation, prompt testing, performance, and resilience testing.
