QA Analyst

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven QA Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Philadelphia, PA. This hybrid full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our firm’s applications and technology offerings. The QA Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough analysis of requirements, executing comprehensive manual testing, identifying issues, and collaborating closely with development teams and other Information Services groups. While the primary focus is on manual testing, there will be opportunities to contribute to and leverage automated testing frameworks where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance as a discipline, possess strong knowledge of current and emerging testing methodologies, and have experience working within an agile development environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and world-class support to our client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in Software QA, testing, or a related technical role.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Software Development principles.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and reports.
• Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and test automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress is advantageous.
• Foundational knowledge of relational database systems and SQL.
• Experience with task management software such as Monday.com, Trello, or JIRA.
• Familiarity with .NET Web APIs, SQL Server databases, and ServiceNow is a plus.
• General understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and exposure to AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to define testing scope.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts aligned with project requirements.
• Identify test data requirements and prepare traceability matrices to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute various testing types including integration, system, acceptance, functional, non-functional, usability, A/B, smoke/sanity, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Log, track, and document test results and defects according to established defect management processes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product/project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate actively in team meetings to report on QA progress and discuss quality assurance efforts.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices across all testing activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing QA procedures and documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects to prevent recurrence and improve product quality.
• Continuously update and expand test suite documentation to cover additional use cases.
• Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and overall application quality to stakeholders.
• Create detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and risks for stakeholder review.
• Follow up on feedback to drive continuous quality improvement.
