QA Automation Engineer

Education & Experience

• Understanding and knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Understanding of test cases and negative, positive and regression testing.
• Understanding of automation testing and experience writing automation tests for REST APIs and UI.
• Experience with writing automation tests using one or more of the following: Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, ect.
• Extremely proficient in one or more development languages (i.e. C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
• Knowledge of industry best practices for manual, automation and performance testing.
• Experience with deployments and CI/CD practices.
• Experience gathering, refining, and validating business/technical requirements, interdependencies, cross-functional dependencies & risks/issues.
• Knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing practices.
• Experience with system/platform integrations and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Shows initiative and is motivated to learn.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written); ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and consultative skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and committed to a high level of accuracy & quality.
