Job Specification
As a QA Engineer II for the Organized Play team on VALORANT , you will operate as an experienced quality owner within your product space. You will partner closely with engineers, producers, and UI/UX developers to drive testing strategy and execution for Organized Play’s player-facing features and supporting services. You will be empowered to influence development practices and ensure quality is built into features early. You will play a key role in defect triage, risk assessment, and release readiness, while maintaining clear visibility into product quality through reporting and insights. Additionally, you may support and mentor other testers or contributors to ensure consistent and scalable test execution.
On the Organized Play team, you’ll help VALORANT players compete together and track their achievements through features like Premier and Performance Score. Your work is critical in maintaining the quality of matchmaking and competition for our highly skilled players who are attempting to reach the highest level of competitive play. You’ll work with developers and partner teams to test how the pieces fit together and catch problems before they get in the way of competition.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
