Quality Assurance Engineer, Design

The New Model Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and stability of production models by utilizing 3D/2D and visual inspection data. This role involves collecting and analyzing quality data, developing countermeasures, and overseeing the quality data process to meet die/mold requirements and exceed production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for long-term stability. The engineer will also contribute their expertise to future model development, aiming to shorten maturation processes, improve trial events, and reduce overall energy consumption. This position requires close collaboration with various teams and customers to maintain high-quality standards and support preliminary new model development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in Die Cast, Stamping, or Plastics.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in Die Cast, Stamping, or Plastics industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Catia, Polyworks, and Keyence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze quality data to develop effective countermeasures to meet quality targets.
• Evaluate and ensure the final quality of dies shipped to production plants.
• Present quality results to teams and propose paths forward for any non-conforming data.
• Collaborate and interact with customers to meet their quality targets and expectations.
• Develop part supplementals to support quality assurance processes.
• Create fixture specifications for parts produced by tooling.
• Support preliminary new model development activities to shorten maturation timelines.
