Quality Engineer

What type of experience does the right candidate have

• 5+ years of software quality engineering experience, including testing systems that evolve based on data or user interaction.
• Strong understanding of model validation, data integrity, and performance benchmarking.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and libraries used in data-driven or statistical computing environments.
• Experience testing APIs and working with OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM.
• Understanding of secure engineering principles and the secure software development lifecycle, including secrets management and encrypted communications.
• Experience with AWS and relational, document, and graph databases.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and CI/CD workflows, including GitLab.
• Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to sprint planning.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and experience assessing risks and tracking quality metrics.
• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Availability to work onsite in Burbank four days per week.

What the responsibilities are of the right candidate

• Design and execute test strategies covering functionality, data integrity, model behavior, security, and performance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks and regression coverage.
• Validate APIs, authentication workflows, and integrations across applications and data sources.
• Conduct exploratory testing and risk analysis to identify defects and coverage gaps.
• Investigate issues, document findings, and collaborate with engineers to support resolution.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics and performance benchmarks.
• Integrate testing into sprint activities and CI/CD workflows.
• Advocate for QA best practices and continuously improve testing processes.
