Software Engineer in Test

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright.
• Build and execute automated tests across UI, API, and backend service layers.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code.
• Work closely with developers and QA engineers to define testing strategies and improve test coverage.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, investigate defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing automation frameworks and reduce manual testing.
• Support testing of microservices, cloud applications, and system integrations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer focused on test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright .
• Strong programming skills and the ability to write and debug automation code.
• Experience with both API and UI test automation .
• Experience developing, maintaining, or enhancing automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Java-based applications or environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with developers and contribute to technical discussions.
• Comfortable working independently and recommending technical solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Karate framework for API testing.
• TypeScript and Angular.
• Performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• AWS and cloud-based environments.
• Microservices and Kubernetes.
• GraphQL API testing.
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Exposure to AI integrations or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
