Foreign Exchange (FX) Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Front Office Foreign Exchange (FX) Test Engineer to support the electronic trading platform. This role requires a combination of hands-on testing expertise and strong FX pricing and trade execution knowledge .

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate understands how FX prices are constructed from market and liquidity inputs through aggregation, spreads, markups, pricing rules, and client-specific configurations , and can validate that the correct executable price and trade outcome are produced.

This is not primarily a post-trade or operations testing role. Candidates should have direct experience with electronic FX pricing, execution, or comparable front-office trading platforms .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for related electronic trading workflows.
• Validate FX price construction , including market/liquidity inputs, bid/offer behavior, spreads, markups, pricing tiers, and client-specific pricing.
• Validate pricing from liquidity input through executable client price and trade execution .
• Test trade execution under normal, negative, boundary, and exception scenarios.
• Validate system configuration changes and their impact on pricing and execution outcomes.
• Develop test scenarios from business requirements, pricing logic, configuration, and real-world trading scenarios.
• Investigate differences between expected and actual pricing or execution results.
• Identify whether issues originate from market data, liquidity, pricing logic, configuration, execution, integration, or downstream processing .
• Document and manage defects through resolution.
• Partner with Front Office, Product Management, Technology, and Operations to support release readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FX markets and electronic trading .
• Hands-on understanding of front-office pricing and price construction .
• Knowledge of liquidity-provider pricing, aggregation, bid/offer spreads, markups, pricing tiers, and executable pricing.
• Understanding of electronic trade/order execution.
• Experience with UAT, functional, integration, and regression testing in Capital Markets.
• Ability to independently develop test scenarios and determine expected results.
• Strong defect investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of the front-to-back trade lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct OneZero experience.
• Experience with other eFX aggregation, pricing, or execution platforms.
• Experience working directly with FX Trading, eTrading, or Front Office teams.
• FIX/electronic trading messaging knowledge.
• Jira and/or PractiTest experience.
• Experience supporting trading-platform implementations or major releases.
