Job Title: QA Engineer (Frontend Automation & Accessibility)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Company: HCL Global Systems Inc.
HCL Global Systems Inc. delivers technology and consulting solutions that help organizations modernize systems and improve the quality, security, and reliability of their digital services. This opportunity supports an enterprise healthcare identity and access management (CIAM) portal modernization initiative. The work involves user-facing applications and identity workflows in a regulated environment, where dependable functionality, privacy, accessibility, and security are essential.
HCL Global Systems Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer specializing in frontend automation and accessibility to lead end-to-end quality efforts for a major UI modernization initiative. You will shape the test strategy, assess existing automated test suites, and establish an effective approach to evolving the application’s testing framework. Working closely with engineering and delivery teams, you will test React application functionality, authentication journeys, accessibility, and deployments across development and user acceptance environments.
This role is suited to a hands-on quality professional who can build maintainable automation, investigate defects systematically, and communicate release readiness clearly. You will serve as a quality gate for sprint deliverables and help ensure that releases meet functional, accessibility, and performance expectations.
Required qualifications include professional experience with Cypress end-to-end automation for React applications and unit testing using Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library. You should be proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and able to develop reliable, reusable test automation. Practical knowledge of accessibility testing with axe-core and WCAG 2.1 AA standards is required.
Candidates must also bring experience testing OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication flows, along with ForgeRock or a comparable CIAM or identity platform. Experience with BrowserStack or an equivalent cross-browser testing service and validating deployments in AWS EKS or Kubernetes environments is required. Applicants should have experience in healthcare, identity and access management, or another regulated industry, including testing authentication, multifactor authentication, session management, and identity verification workflows.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to collaborate across technical teams are important. Familiarity with HIPAA considerations and healthcare data sensitivity is valuable.
Audit existing Cypress end-to-end and unit test suites, assess coverage and maintainability, and recommend a practical migration roadmap. Migrate unit tests from Jest to Vitest while preserving or improving coverage. Design, develop, and maintain Cypress automation for authentication, navigation, role-based access control, accessibility, data tables, and wizard-based workflows.
Validate ForgeRock user journeys, including login, multifactor authentication, password reset, profile verification, session expiration, and logout. Run automated accessibility audits with axe-core, assess conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA, and monitor Lighthouse CI performance and accessibility metrics. Conduct cross-browser testing with BrowserStack, document findings, and communicate actionable defects.
Validate application deployments in Dev, Sandbox, and UAT environments hosted on AWS EKS. Create, track, reproduce, and verify defects with clear steps and supporting details. Partner with developers and project stakeholders to resolve quality risks, report test results, and provide release sign-off for sprint deliverables.
This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a high-impact enterprise modernization initiative and strengthen the reliability and accessibility of healthcare identity services. Eligible employees may have access to company benefits and programs in accordance with applicable plan terms and employment policies. The role also provides opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and apply modern frontend testing practices to complex, security-focused workflows.
