Test Engineer II

Job Responsibilities**

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test procedures for new and existing server, storage, and networking products.
• Execute various types of testing, including functional, performance, reliability, stress, and compatibility testing.
• Configure and troubleshoot test environments, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues to development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware design, software development, product management) to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Automate test cases and develop test scripts using relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality considerations.
• Document test processes, results, and issues accurately and thoroughly.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new testing methodologies.

Job Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware testing, preferably with server or storage systems.
• Strong understanding of server architecture, including CPUs, memory, storage (NVMe, SSD, HDD), and networking.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
• Familiarity with test equipment and tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
